Preventing and Treating Cognitive Impairment
Restore My Brain
Alzheimer’s dementia is one of the leading causes of death in the developed world, and until recently, no treatment had shown significant promise. Dr. Lani, a geriatrician with over 40 years of clinical practice, is certified as a practitioner in the ReCode (Reversal of Cognitive Decline) and PreCode (Prevention of Cognitive Decline) 2.0 programs - https://www.apollohealthco.com/
Dr. Lani provides in-person or telehealth MOCA testing and neurocognitive testing using CNS Vital Signs, one of the most validated neurocognitive assessment tools) for either assessment of cognition or to partner with patients signed up through ReCode or PreCode.
ReCode and PreCode
We, at Restore My Health MD, draw on over 40 years of primary care experience to guide individuals and families through the challenges of cognitive impairment and aging.
Using Dr. Bredesen’s and others research, we partner with you to address the “Bredesen 7” – Seven key lifestyle strategies to promote brain health and cognitive function: nutrition, exercise, stress management, quality sleep, brain stimulation, detoxification, and appropriate supplementation (if needed).
Discover Personalized Care
As a Bredesen 2.0 trained family physician, board-certified geriatrician, and a clinical and academic physician, Dr. Ackerman can either help you determine if you have signs of cognitive decline or partner with you in the ReCode or PreCode to prevent and/or restore your brain health. By performing baseline neurocognitive testing with CNS vital signs and a MOCA test, as well as an in-person (preferred) or virtual visit, we start with a baseline exam that can help show if there are subtle or obvious deficiencies. We use the Bredesen protocol and have all patients enroll in the ReCode (Reversal of Cognitive Decline) or PreCode program through Apollo Health. We work with you in this comprehensive and personalized approach which focuses on targeting the root causes of cognitive decline and Altzheimer’s disease.
